Letter from Whitelaw Reid ([New York, N.Y.]) to Robert W. Patterson, 1901-03-01

 Item — Box: 1B, Folder: 4.16

Scope and Contents

"I have just found the report from our peole about the exact present situation with reference to the cable dispatches. We are honorably bound to Mr. Kohlsaat for certainly not less than a month's notice, if we should change from him, and we would need to get $185 per week, and the privilege of having a good man ... to send us any of your news, which we might want, to be as well off as we are at present. ... We seem to use very lettle from Chicago excepting the weekly letter, which our man furnishes; though now and then we get a dispatch of much value."
