Papers concerning the sale of the River Lot to the Equitable Life Assurance Society of the United States as the site of the Equitable Building and Pioneer Court. Biographical / Historical
The "River Lot" is the area between the Tribune Tower and the Chicago River, the site (from 1965) of the Equitable Life Assurance Company building, and Pioneer Court. The lot includes the area once occupied by the home of Jean Baptiste Pointe du Sable
