Letter of Joseph Medill "to my wife and daughters", 1886-06-16
Scope and Contents
"Shepard & McCormick" envelope numbered "2" and labelled "Will of Joseph Medill in his own handwriting dated June 16, 1886," in what appears to be Robert R. McCormick's handwriting; but actually containing the original of Medill's letter of that date "to my wife and daughters" regarding the future of the Chicago Tribune.
The folder also contains two typed copies of this letter: one in envelope "3" on "The Tribune Building" stationery, and one on "Chicago Tribune Editorial Rooms" stationery.
