    General

    The building at the far left is on the site of the James R. Thompson Center. The railing in the middle of the street marks the entrance to the La Salle Street tunnel under the Chicago River. On the east side of La Salle south of Randolph is the Chicago City Hall and Cook County Building, demolished in 1905 to make way for the present building. The image is inscribed "Copyright 1906 by A.C. Roebuck"
