The view is of the east side of State Street. The building just beyond the Lake Street elevated tracks survives. The Marshall Field building (not yet at its fullest extent) is visible beyond the Masonic Temple (demolished 1939). Inscribed "Copyright 1906 by A.C. Roebuck"
