Letter from Carter H. Harrison, Jr. (Chicago) to Joseph Medill, 1894-07-16
Scope and Contents
Concerning an article in the Times on the discharge of R.W. Ledwith from the Tribune staff, and the republication in the Tribune of an article from the Cleveland Leader claiming that Harrison and the Times were encouraging mob violence. "I cannot but resent, however, the implied charge that the Times has been guilty of a breach of journalistic courtesy." Envelope inscribed by Medill "Carter Harrison letter & reply"; and in another hand "not all clear from content but Medill's letter worth quoting"
