At a dinner attended by Stanton R. Cook and John McCutcheon in the fall of 1984, Robert E. Page of the Sun-Times took some delight in telling of his friendship with Mrs. Maryland McCormick and of her "fabulous" scrapbooks.With the help of Hope (Mrs. Brooks) McCormick, McCutcheon arranged to call on Mrs. McCormick on Feb. 18, 1985.
