Biography

Carolyn Armenta Davis, a Chicago communications specialist, created, wrote, and produced radio series, Feminine Footprints. The series aired for 13-week starting on March 6, 1978, and consisted of 65 one-minute vignettes dedicated to highlighting outstanding Black women’s achievements. Feminine Footprints was broadcasted to forty radio stations across the United States that were affiliated with the Mutual Black Network. In June 1978, Davis and Feminine Footprints were awarded a Certificate of Commendation by the American Women in Radio and Television, Inc. for the “improvement and enhancements of the image of women.”*
