General

Taken during the dry season 1972. The temporary bridge that is built each year across the Faro River near the Alantika mountains, part of which are seen in the background leading to the Fula city of Tchamba. The bridge is put in for three months of the year when 8 and 9 ton trucks haul out cotton and peanuts. During the rainy season there is no bridge. All crossing is made by dugout canoe at that time.
