General
1966. The ferry is made of eleven dugout canoes with a plank platform capable of hauling 5- to 7-ton trucks back and forth across the river. At the height of the rainy season, as when this picture was taken, the ferry is not functional because of the water. In the dry season, there is not enough water and the ferry is hung up on sandbars.
