General
Looking from the New Stanley Hotel down Kimathi Street (named after one of the Mau Mau leaders) toward the new cylinder-shaped Hilton Hotel. At the extreme right (mostly out of the picture) is the New Stanley's famous Thorn Tree sidewalk café that Hemingway and Robert Ruark wrote about so much. It is the traditional departure point for safaris into the countryside.
