General

This village is on the border of Cameroon and Nigeria (near Mubi). The people use a cactus fence for guarding themselves and their animals. In the past they were constantly raided for slaves. They would leave their houses and go up into the rocks to hide for weeks until the slave raiders left. These people at one time were pagan. They eked out a living on the poor cropland in the area.
