Warehouse area - buildings may have been government building in the past. Note sign for Maurel and Prom Mercantile firm. Saint-Louis was once a major commercial area. Maurel & Prom is/was a major mercantile firm. Its history at Saint-Louis reaches back to before the France-Prussian war. The firm had regular shipping lines between West Africa and Antillion.
