Scope and Contents

This series contains material of two somewhat different types: correspondence, and messages. When the materials for a given year are not separated into separate groups of correspondence and messages, the folders for that year contain chiefly correspondence.

Correspondence: Folders labeled "correspondence" chiefly contain materials of all types sent through the mails. Correspondence folders also contain occasional items identical to those in the "messages" folders

Messages: Messages sent over wire between Jameson and the Los Angeles times offices. Messages folders also contain occasional items of correspondence

There are no restrictions on use of the materials in the department for research; all patrons must comply with federal copyright regulations.
