General
At the time of processing, the photographic materials were jumbled without apparent order in two shipping cartons. Substantial effort was made to join up prints, negatives and associated material that belong together. (The elaborate descriptions of images were made in part to facilitate this matching.) Despite this effort, it should not be assumed that all connections between scattered elements have been discovered. Similarly, an effort was made to identify the use in publication of imges in this series; but it should not be assumed that all published images have been matched to their originals.
