Daniel Bonbright Papers
During Daniel Bonbright’s 54-year career at Northwestern University (1856-1902), he taught Latin, served as University Librarian, Dean of the College of Liberal Arts, and interim President from 1900 to 1902. He was instrumental in shaping the University’s early curriculum, establishing the Library, and getting University Hall built. This sparse collection of his papers offers an overview of his life and legacy.

Miller, Dean of Special Events, which span the period from 1943 to 1976, although the bulk of the records emanated from the latter part of 1960's and early 1970's. These records, comprising eleven boxes, are the administrative records of Robert H. Strotz, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences from September 1, 1966 to October 31, 1970. The records do not span the entire term of Strotz's deanship but fall mainly in the years from 1966 through 1968.
The records, which include correspondence and related materials, document a variety of matters involving the administration of the College and the University.

Harold Gotaas came to Northwestern as professor of civil engineering and dean of the Technological Institute; he retired as dean in 1970 but continued to teach until his retirement in 1975. The papers document Gotaas' academic career through course materials and publications, and include research and consulting files.

The records of the Clarence Ver Steeg cover the years 1945 to 1987; with the bulk involving Ver Steeg's tenure as Dean of Northwestern University's Graduate School (1976-1987). A few records predating or subsequent to Ver Steeg's Deanship are included.
Abram Winegardner Harris, Sr., (1858-1935) Family Papers
The Abram Harris Family Papers span two generations of the Harris Family. The first, that of Abram, Sr., is represented here by the period from 1897 to 1935 during which Abram reached the peak of his productive career as an administrator in secondary, higher, and religious education. The generation of Abram, Jr., is represented here primarily by the period from 1929 to 1947, from shortly before the last of his three marriages to the end of these papers.
