This series consists of 9 boxes of material consisting of Robert H. Strotz's tenure at Northwestern University's Economics Department. The bulk of the material covers the period 1962-1969. The collection's time period also covewrs Strotz's tenure as Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, 1965-1970. Files on conferences and lectures, general correspondence, graduate students, course materials, book and manuscript reviews, and site visits to other educational institutions on behalf of the U.S. Government Department of Health, Education, and Welfare (HEW) grants committee are the major portions of the collection.

Abstract

This series consists of 9 boxes of material consisting of Robert H. Strotz's tenure at Northwestern University's Economics Department. The bulk of the material covedrs the period 1962-1969. The collection's time period also covers Strotz's tenure as Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, 1965-1970. Files on conferences and lectures, general correspondence, graduate students, course materials, book and manuscript reviews, and site visits to other educational institutions on behalf of the U.S. Government Department of Health, Education, and Welfare (HEW) grants committee are the major portions of the collection.

Arrangement

The collection is arranged into subseries for conferences, correspondence, graduate students, reviews and HEW site visits, and then alphabetically. These subseries are followed by an alphabetically-arranged sequence of topical folders.

Method of Acquisition

The Robert H. Strotz Papers were transferred to the University Archives by Marilyn McCoy, Vice President of Administration and Planning, on November 16, 1988. The material was separated from the original accession of #88-271 and reaccessioned as #88-286.
